www.workintexas.com Go to this web site and register for work in the State of Texas. Are either of you veterans who served 180 days in the military on active duty? If so ,veterans get first pick at all jobs in Texas. List your desired job and desired pay along with education level and any and all degrees, licenses, permits either of you may have. Remember on each of your past jobs list a sentence or two listing your duties(crew chief, night supervisor, etc.) while you were at that job so the site can use key words and match you to a job. Once you're finished you'll come to a section that says,"Congratulations XXXXXX,you're now registered to work in Texas". Print this because this is your proof you're registered in case you ever have to apply for Unemployment. It's the first thing they'll ask you. I also have another site: www.saws.org This is the San Antonio Water System.

I miss dance so much and I want to lose weight so I'm looking for a fun place to go if there is one. I love hip hop and jazz, and I used to dance every single day but as time went on, it got harder to keep it up. Does anyone know where I can go to get back in shape and have fun while I'm doing it?

I have a friend who is an RN.She says the "Heart hospital" on Fredericksburg Rd has flexible and perfect schedules.Good luck!
2 :
There is a shortage of nurses everywhere so you can probably go just about anyplace you want. The thing to do is pick the hospital on the side of town you would like to work on and then apply there.
3 :
www.workintexas.com Click on "Register As Job Seeker". You're going to have to make up a user ID and your own password. Fill in all necessary info such as education level, degrees, licenses ,or permits you have. Work history, full time, part time, desired job, desired pay. About chances of getting San Antonio for my first border patrol station

Chances of getting San Antonio for my first border patrol station?
I am applying for border patrol and need to be able to work in San Antonio due to my spouses job. What are my chances?
Law Enforcement & Police - 4 Answers

1 :
First you need to get interviewed. Then you need to go to their academy, then you need to be a resident of the County San Antone is in. If you are just now applying, doesn't mean you are hired. You probably would be in El Paso.
2 :
The Patrol will send you base on the needs of the service. When you apply, you are able to indicate what state(s) you wish to work. Keep in mind on the announcement in will need to say Texas. After going through the pre-employment process, they will offer your a station based on your preference and the needs of the Patrol. San Antonio is in the Laredo Sector. Odds are you will probably NOT get San Antonio as most new agents are directly on the border, but you may get a station near by such as Uvalde, Rocksprings, Freer. I realize those aren't close as you like, but those are closest you're going to get. 3-5 Years you may be able to VRP out to San Antonio.
3 :
yeah i am not too sure but the other answer sounds like she knows the process...shes right though just because your applying does not mean you will be hired...there is an extensive background investigation...they will probly contact former teachers...other family members...local PD... FYI San Antonio is in Bexar county....and yeah EP is probly where you will start out...or Brownsville....but who knows you could get lucky...but IF you get the job you will be a rookie and need to put in your time before you get the more preferred assignments... good luck
4 :
they assign you where they need you and not where you want to go. -------------retired texas deputy sheriff------------

Teenage jobs are best done through your local school, public library or church. You will be surprised at the job opportunities posted in your Church. They might be able to hook you up in summer type jobs like caddying in golf courses, day camps for kids, life guards in town pools, etc. How about going into business? If you have a skill that you can make money on why not? For example, if you are creative and good with your hands you can make something and sell it to your classmates, friends and relatives. Or you can buy things at discount and sell them at a profit. You can also wash cars and do odd jobs for your neighbors. When I was a kid a I shined shoes on weekends. Even if you don't make money, the experience would be well worth it. Go to these sites for more information on how to start a teen business. http://www.entrepreneur.com/startingabusiness/teenstartups/article158580.html http://studentcenter.ja.org/aspx/PlanBusiness/Stories.aspx http://smallbusiness.aol.com/features/teenbusiness Peace and blessings!

Here's a short list of jobs which you can create to generate income: 1. Learn calligraphy so that you can provide handwritten invitations and thank you notes to prospective wedding parties, birthday celebrations, etc. Seek out clients through wedding planners at nearby churches and temples. A starter calligraphy kit usually runs around $20 and anyone can easily pick up this skill. The going rate is usually $1 per hand addressed item. 2. Become a "poser" who assists wedding photographers in setting and arranging various individuals in group and single photographic positions. "Posers" carry around a sketch book of various sitting and standing poses which consists of onion skin overlays of various wedding pictures bound in albums. Again, contact local wedding photographers and wedding planners, accordingly. The hourly pay is around $10-$12 per hour and you are often invited to attend all dining activities. 3. Seek from your neighbors a gardner position which involves planting, weed removal, plant/tree trimming, light brush clearance. You will be using the neighbor's equipment and tools. Again, do not represent yourself as a lawn mower since there are any number of safety issues involved. A door-to-door solicitation of surrounding neighbors is required and you can charge between $6 to $9 per hour. 4. Offer policing/removal or clearance of trash services to surrounding neighbors which involve trash pickup within nearby residential area. Limit the extent of pickup to small areas and be aware that there are no hazardous terrain or elements involved in this process. Again, a door-to-door solicitation of neighbors is in order. You can charge between $6.75 to $7.50 per hour. 5. Acquire a set of window cleaning tools [a bucket, liquid window cleaner, sponge, squeegee, handle with an extension and a small step ladder] and solicit local businesses for your window cleaning services. However, be careful to limit the height of the window cleaning to no higher than one story. Charge $1 per window panel. 6. Become a proxy/stand-in for neighbors to allow delivery of goods and packages to your home/apartment. Acquire the authority to sign any receipt of incoming packages as an accepting neighbor. Charge $1 per each package handled by you. 7. Consider becoming a restaurant-cafe customer liaison by using your cell phone at restaurants-cafes to coordinate with the hostess to keep track of waiting customers. Whenever there's a very long period of time to activate a waiting list, you want to offer the restaurant your services so that customers do not have to stand around for any lengthy period of time. And when their name/assigned number comes up; you can call the upcoming customer's cell phone to tell them that they can return to the restaurant and be served. The call back fee is usually around $0.50 cents on a per head basis. For example, a couple would be charged $1.00 while children under 6 would not be charged. Placement of a plaque which outlines your fee schedule near the hostess station is sufficient to garner attention of prospective customers who will value your services since they can do other activities outside of the restaurant -- often beyond the range of any inhouse paging system. You realize that everyone has a cellphone and why not take advantage of the connectivity to make the diner's experience worthwhile. The restaurant will also appreciate the added service you are providing as a customer liaison. 8. Why not become a paid feeder servicing the disabled at nearby nursing, convalescent, assisted living/care centers and hospitals. It involves feeding food to patients who are unable to feed themselves. The starting rate is $8.00 per hour. The only downside is that one has to take precautions to wash one's hands after each feeding. A posting of your services [by a business card or flyer] on a reviewable bulletin board would be enough to generate customers. The paid feeder position is one of the fastest growing occupation at this time. Good luck!

About I am a 57 year old retired lady, who wants part time work in San Antonio, on the Northeast Side of town

I am a 57 year old retired lady, who wants part time work in San Antonio, on the Northeast Side of town.?
I wonder if anyone is hiring, this side of town seems dried up where medical clerical, or any other jobs that can supplement a family income are concerned. I am not interested in full time. I am open to suggestions of any source of honest work. I really appreciate it, I need to help my family financially, and really do not know what to do, or even whats available, I am listed on many web sites, maybe its my age, or that I've been retired for ten years now, but I know I have good working years left in me, I just don't have the means to travel to far from my area, I am interested in the 78218, 28209, 78217, and 78233 zip code areas, and possibly Universal city.

have you tried getting a job in retail? like at northstar mall in one of the stores? i used to work part-time at northstar mall (at foley's) and i was on a on call basis and made decent money. perhaps there is a little store or boutique in those zip code areas where you can apply. good luck!
2 :
Lots of people are hiring. The problem is they may think you are going to expect more money than someone younger. Go apply in an area you are good at and are willing to take a dip. I bet retirement homes would to have you work with them. You sound nice and sincere.
3 :
walmart or target is great as a part time job. Most clerical or office type settings are going to want you full time.

You would be perfect for Arbonne! And if you think sales isn't for you, think again. I won't say the products sell themselves (although I think they do...); they can't without your asking someone if they've heard about Arbonne. I wish I'd heard about these products 20 years ago -- they are fabulous. The anti-aging line is incredible. You won't believe what it does for you! This is a simple business, but is hard work. The great thing about it is that you can do it on your own time, when you want. No one to answer to. It's empowering to be in control of your own paycheck. If you'd like to know more about Arbonne, just email me on YA!

The computer will do the work for you and tell you what jobs are available in your area and what they pay. Remember, when listing all of your past jobs, please include a small paragraph explaining what you did in that job to help the computer.

Where can I go to get some blood work done in san antonio?
I never really been to the doctor and want to go get some blood work and I routine checkup.Im 22 and I do have insurance through blue cross/blue shield. Can someone recommend some place?

Look on your insurance card for a customer service number. Call that and ask for a list of family practice doctors in your area that are accepting new patients and that are on your insurance plan.
2 :
Depending on you plan through Blue X Blue shield, which is widely accept, Labcorp and Quest will process bloodwork, but you need to have it ordered by a doctor. You should look for a primary care physician nd ask for a full physical with bloodwork. Blue X is accepted by all major hospitals so look at you plan to find a doctor. I really like Dr. Amy Thomas at Christus Santa Rosa in the Medical center.
3 :
Texas Med Clinics ("Doc in the Box") will accept your insurance, test your blood and provide a blood change if needed. They have discount coupons on their website.

Well,it depends on what kind of work you want to do.Personally, when I first moved here,I had a very hard time getting a job because I found you had to know so-n-so or a friend of a boss type of situation but for me,I went to labor ready and temp services and got jobs. You may not like the work but personally,I am a very hard worker and I'll do just about anything to make a paycheck. The pay ranges from 6 dollars to 8 dollars with the labor ready/temp services like Express. Also, with craigslist you can type in the area/type of job you want.Cause I have found with temp services that sometimes the jobs were all the way across town and on a bus, that is not feasible. You may just want to check with places like walmart, which they are usually always hiring, fast food places,Also,if you have transportation there is a dog food company in Schertz that is hiring for warehouse and the pay is pretty good for this area.It all depends on what kind of work you want to do.good luck to you.if you would like the address to some warehouses in Schertz that I know are hiring, drop me a message and I'll give you all the info.

Okay, first of all, the guy above me posted a verrrrrrry sketchy link... This is the best site to make money with…It’s entirely free to sign up AND use. There are no obligations or fees. Complete surveys/offers or play games and make money. Awards can be in the form of check, paypal, etc. The minimum cashout is only $1.00. You also get a cash bonus just for signing up. I can’t promise that you’ll be making enough to buy everything you want, but if you work at it, you’ll be making lots of easy money. I’ve made a couple hundred though, so it is legit. (i've been a member for quite some time) Here’s the site: http://tinyurl.com/3pegcau If you’re still unsure, here’s a blog I made to talk a little more about the site (hasn’t been updated in a while sorry) http://makerichmoneyfree.blogspot.com/ You get money just for signing up for free. This site has been deemed an â€Å“Accredited Business” by the Better Business Bureau. Take a look at least, you won’t be disappointed. :)

DON"T CLICK ON THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!! never go to a link that is labeled, "tiny/url." Those are typically spam, or worse...might get your computer a virus. I would suggest odd jobs, mowing lawns, babysitting, etc. There are a couple of lifeguarding companies in San Antonio who hire 14 year olds. My son, who is now older worked for an outfit called (I think) "Pool Management" back when he was 14.

You may be able to start as a substitute which are needed badly all over the city. There are also needs for teachers in all the districts due to the rapidly enlarging size of the city. Teachers in the US, in general, and Texas, specifically, must be certified. For information on how to become a Texas certified teacher see the following site: http://www.sbec.state.tx.us/SBECOnline/faqs.asp?width=1024&height=768 I have known many teachers who came to Texas uncertified and were able to remain employed full time as substitutes. Many were able to take over a position as a longe-term substitute for a teacher who were out for medical or personal reasons or otherwise had to leave during the school year. These teachers were able to obtain the jobs fulltime after they were observed by the school administration, and were able to obtain certification while they worked as a substitute. You may need an additional class or two, in order to meet the Texas requirements. My wife was a biology teacher in a high school for a while. She had been certified in Alabama, but when she moved to Texas she had to take Texas History to get full certification. She was able to do this by correspondence while working. I don't know if this still applies, but you need to check to see if there are any special tests or classes which you would need to complete your certification.
2 :
www.workintexas.com Click on "Register As Job Seeker". You're going to register for work with the State of Texas. Enter your personal info such as work history, all certification, education level, desired work, and desired pay. Do you want full time or part time? What part of San Antonio do you want to work in,or just click on "San Antonio Region" if you're not sure where you'll be living. You will be building a resume and helping the computer match you with potential employers. Also please indicate how you want them to contact you,i.e.,email,regular mail,phone,etc..
3 :

I live in Florida too and also hate hurricane season. My husband is with our EOC, so it's double stress for me. I don't know about the jobs there, but it's definitely cheaper in Texas than here in Florida. I watch a show called "Flip This House" where a house is bought, updated, then flipped. One specific company shown is from Texas and the prices of the homes are unbelievable compared to Florida. You'd definitely pocket some money if you're a homeowner and sell. But you're in insurance and everyone needs insurance, so I'm sure you'd have no problem finding a job. Start posting your resume online and call the local Chamber of Commerce in the city you want to move in for more information.

I am the newly appointed office manager for an electric co. I have to look up new electrical bids for commercial properties in and arround San Antonio,TX I just have no idea where to start my search at or where to look. I thought if i searched the web i could find some leads but most of the things posted are old and out dated.

Ask your boss. IF you are newly appointed, the supervisor should give you a clue where to look and if the boss has no clue, you could always call another electrician and ask how they go about doing it. I know it's the competition, but sometimes they get overbooked and do offer other businesses as alternatives. They do this knowing a person will think of them in the future.
